Pass on Your Skills has raised the profile and visibility of careers in the FE sector.
The programme aimed to attract candidates with substantial practical experience in specific priority sectors where demand for FE teachers, tutors, trainers and assessors/verifiers is highest - and also where shortages in skills have the potential to threaten the sustainability of some of our key industries.
Following 14,000 expressions of interest and 7,000 applications, a steadily increasing number of skilled candidates have now been recruited to vacancies in these areas.
The programme has also worked closely with candidates to help prepare them for work in FE, and has developed a range of support materials that can help people who are new to the sector to successfully apply for teaching or assessor vacancies.
